Mission
Skaion's expertise is in simulating real-world threats to information systems, modeling attacks, and evaluating defenses. Skaion's technologies synthesize realistic user and network behavior to test working systems, design new defenses, and conduct innovative research.
Capabilities
Skaion principals have extensive experience in computer system security, including in both the U.S. military and the private sector. Skaion personnel have held positions in the U.S. Intelligence Community, academia, and with several IT security start-ups.
Skaion maintains a testbed network for system evaluation. Through use of the Skaion Traffic Generation System, customer systems can be tested under realistic load, and against synthesized attacks.

Principals
Terry Champion
Mr. Champion is a co-founder of Skaion Corporation. He spent 10 years as a research scientist at the Air Force Research Laboratory's Information Security Office. His early work centered on speech processing, and he has several patents related to speech compression technology. The last 5 years in the government were spent in the Information Assurance field . His ideas for the test and evaluation of DARPA research into intrusion detection led to the development of a unique real-time testing capability.
Robert Durst
Mr. Durst served as an officer in the Air Force (at Air Force Research Laboratory, Hanscom AFB, MA), developing computer security product test techniques. He holds a MS from Carnegie Mellon University in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and has been working with computers (programming, software development and system design) since 1983.
