Skaion Participates in Department of Homeland Security R&D Conference

NORTH CHELMSFORD, Ma. - May 7, 2005 - Skaion Corporation particpated in last month's Department of Homeland Security conference, "Working Together: Research & Development Partnerships in Homeland Security."

Skaion's contribution to the conference included a presentation in the Critical Infrastructure Protection poster session. Entitled, "Traffic Generation and Simulation in Cyber Security Research," it described Skaion's work in network traffic generation, applied to information assurance research and development.

 

About the Conference

The conference focused on state-of-the-art research and development to anticipate, prevent, respond to, and recover from high-consequence chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosives and cyber terrorist threats. It also addressed research and development to protect the nation's critical infrastructure, and the harnessing of science and intelligence to reduce threat and risk. The objectives of this inaugural event were to encourage R&D partnerships among scientists and engineers from government, national laboratories, universities and research institutes, and private sector firms investing in research and development programs and facilities; and to address the collective science and technology research goals of the U.S. homeland security community.
